Resources for ADHD and autistic adults and couples

Here are my top resource recommendations for late-diagnosed autistic and ADHD adults and their loved ones.

Therapy isn’t always accessible nor even necessarily what’s needed, so these are the practitioners and places to go that I’ve found helpful both personally and professionally.

Atwood and Garnett

Tony Attwood and Michelle Garnett are clinical psychologists who have teamed up with their combined knowledge and experience of autism to present online courses and webinars on a range of topics including autistic burnout, autism and sleep, autism in couple relationships and more. They’ve also written a variety of books. Their website offers a great list of alternate resource recommendations too. Here’s their website.

Lindsay Mackareth

Lindsay is also a psychologist and she’s built her Instagram and Substack to support high-masking “gifted” adults. I find her perspectives very insightful and often ahead of the curve in the public discourse around autism and ADHD. Here’s her Substack.

Megan Anna Neff

I’ve purchased a variety of Megan’s downloadable PDFs that were helpful in distinguishing between my ADHD and autism. She’s also written a book about burnout that was very practical and easy to read. Here’s her website.
